3 months agoFood was good, not great though. I ordered crepes with scrambled eggs and sausage inside that was cut small with sausage gravy. Presentation was nice but the sausage had a crunch to it from being cook a bit long and sausage gravy were mediocre, crepes and eggs were great though. Service was prompt. Would definitely go back but parking was limited up front which is my only big concern. I believe there is more out back.

4 months agoHonestly, This place is good.The staff is great! Unfortunately, I have noticed a steady decline in the quality of the food over the last few months. Im really hoping it improves!!!

7 months agoLove this breakfast place, it's the best in the area. Irish Benedict is the best. They have both homemade, and canned corned beef hash. Yum.

2 years agoGreat breakfast spot. The Elvis french toast was delightful! (PB & banana) The atmosphere is nothing fancy, but the food is consistently yummy & fast / kind service.

Edited 2 years agoWe like eating here wife had bacon and cheese omelet with home fries and rye toast. She enjoyed it. I had the deluxe French toast with fresh Italian bread cinnamon butter and powder sugar. Had four slices. Also two eggs and bacon. Everything was cooked perfect. But could hardly taste the cinnamon or power sugar. Server was great. Parking in front is tight. Plenty of parking in rear and rear entry. Also muffins chocolate chip and coffee cake to go. Very good.

3 years agoThis place is an absolute gem! We are from Europe travelling through US and we stopped for a little breakkie. Sammy J's smashed it. Staff was absolutely lovely and attentive, place has very cool design, typical American breakfast place you see in US movies. And the food guys... I don't even know how to describe this pleasure I had from the very first bite. If not sure what to order, just ask staff! :-) Warning for Europeans: portions are massive (but we still manage to eat it all!). You just must go to Sammy J's!

6 years agoSammy J's is a great, classic American diner. A mom and pop kind of place. Several variations on the Eggs Benedict, including the Irish with corned beef hash, and Greek with feta cheese. Cool retro look, service was fast and friendly. Definitely check out the specials before you decide on your order!

6 years agoDon't be fooled by the exterior, Sammy J's is a traveller's treasure. The wait staff is incredibly kind and attentive, the food is hot, delicious, and dirt cheap. Trust me when I say bring your appetite!
